The first real snow of the season; shot from the balcony of my flat in Dalian. The city, in the northeast of China in Liaoning Province, is one of the few special economic zones designated by the Chinese government.  Dalian is one of the premier IT hotspots in the region, playing host to many multinationals. Intel recently announced a major project in Dalian: a US$2.5 billion chip fabrication plant, the first for the region.
