Splashdown
The boy looked over and noticed the camera. His eyes had a sparkle of mischief, a smile forming on his face. “You want to take picture? He jump.” I looked over to a man he was pointing at, standing on a far ledge, watching others swim. He began to yell at this young man in his local dialect, who eagerly took off his shirt and began to walk towards the lip of the edge. For a moment he stood there, unsure with trepidation before simply stepping off. For a brief moment he flew, not making a sound until he splashed into the well below.
