Craftwork - Jinbo, set in the mountains of Sichuan a few hours drive from Chengdu, suffered from the massive earthquake that struck the region in 2008. With the help of an NGO, they have begun offering eco-tours of the region, complete with home stays in some of the village farms as well as offering traditional craftwork for sale. The proceeds are then shared by the villagers.

A local Tibetan woman invited us into her home which was a massive Tibetan stone house. The kindness of strangers in this world is oftentimes amazing. This was hanging on the wall of what I would guess to be the “family” room.
